Diego Baldomir, lawyer, mainly works in the Banking and Corporate Department. He holds a Master in Corporation Law from the University of Montevideo (1997). His practice includes financing in the public and private sectors, public and private offers of securities, banking transactions, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, investment structuring, start-ups, data-privacy and the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism, having participated as speaker in several seminars and conferences regarding the reorganization of companies as well as the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

  • He has advised Royal & Sun Alliance in the sale of its subsidiary in Uruguay to Sudamericana S.A. and continues to advise the local business in the area of insurance after closing.

  • Advised Jacinta Solar Farm, Uruguayan company part of Fotowatio Renewables Venture Group to obtain financing for its photovoltaic station 50.0 MW in Salto, Uruguay for USD 71 million and USD 24 million additional being the first PPP implemented with the UTE (the national electrical company).
